Vertex has an extensive error handling and logging system built in. Vertex will try as much as possible to catch all errors and keep running, In case an error message pops up you can store it to the desktop to send it later as email. In addition you can always send the last Vertex Log file. The default path is:
C:\ProgramData\ioversal\Vertex\2022.01.05.2043\logs
The Log folder can also be accessed from the Vertex Help Menu
