In case you are experiencing issues with missing frames or weird video playback behaviour with Quicktime mov files. It is possible that the video was encoded with a variable framerate.
Editing software like Adobe Premiere allow to optimize still images which will introduce video frames that are longer then others. This can lead to to inconsistent playback. Vertex supports only videos with a fixed framerate.
